Customization Guide

Senzodo helps global brands turn ideas into custom packaged products. Follow this guide to prepare your project for smooth quoting, sampling, and production.

1. Confirm your product & dimensions

Provide the product type, outer dimensions (L × W × H), and usage scenario. If packaging an existing product, share its size and weight.

2. Choose material & structure

  • Folding carton / mailer box / rigid box
  • Paper bag / label / sticker / hang tag
  • Tritan bottle accessories (straw caps/straws)
  • Custom inserts: EVA, foam, paperboard

3. Artwork & dieline requirements

  • File format: PDF, AI, or PSD (vector preferred)
  • Color mode: CMYK; provide Pantone codes for exact brand colors
  • Resolution: 300 DPI minimum
  • Fonts: outlined or embedded
  • Bleed: 3mm minimum; safe zone 5mm inside trim line
  • Dieline: we provide dielines after spec confirmation

4. Finishes & processes

  • Print: CMYK offset/digital; Pantone spot for exact brand color
  • Lamination: matte, gloss, soft-touch
  • Foil: gold/silver/rose gold/holographic, single area separated in file
  • Emboss/deboss: logo depth, no ink or with foil
  • Spot UV: gloss highlight on matte surface
  • Other: window patch, ribbon, magnet, EVA/foam insert, hang tag

Complex multi-finish jobs increase MOQ, sample time and production time.

5. Sampling process

We recommend approving a sample before mass production.

  • Structural/white sample: confirms size, fold, glue tab, product fit; no printing
  • Digital proof: PDF mockup for layout, text, position
  • Printed pre-production sample (PPS): full color + finishes, closest to mass result

Typical sampling: 3–7 working days after dieline and artwork confirmation; complex finishes may take longer. Sample fee depends on structure and process; for qualified bulk orders part or all of the sample fee can be credited—confirm in writing before sampling.

6. Production & lead time

After sample approval and deposit:

  • Standard folding carton / label / paper bag: around 7–15 working days
  • Mailer box / lamination-only rigid: around 10–20 working days
  • Complex rigid, multi-finish, foil/emboss/UV: 15–30 working days or more

Add shipping: express 5–7 days, air 7–10 days, sea to US/EU 25–35+ days depending on port. Q4 and custom paper/foil may extend timelines; lock specs early.

7. Payment & shipping terms

  • Quotation valid for stated validity period; final price confirmed after spec and artwork
  • Standard payment: 30% deposit to start production, 70% before shipment; alternatives negotiable for regular B2B accounts
  • Incoterms: EXW, FOB, CIF, DDP available depending on destination
  • We arrange express/air/sea or work with your freight forwarder; provide customs docs as needed

8. Reorder & consistency

Keep your approved sample as "golden sample." For reorders, give previous order number, dieline version, Pantone codes and finish list. We compare bulk output to approved sample for size, color and finish. Artwork changes, material substitution or new dieline require new sample confirmation.

9. FAQ

  • No design file? We create print-ready artwork from $30/design; dielines provided after spec confirmation.
  • Can I mix sizes in one order? Yes if same material/print run; different dielines count as separate setups and may affect MOQ.
  • Can you match my brand color? Provide Pantone; CMYK conversion may have slight shift, physical sample recommended for strict color.
  • Do you support small brands? Yes, but very low MOQ increases unit cost; we suggest start with folding carton/mailer/label before rigid box.
  • What if I change design after sampling? New sample round is required; production timeline restarts from new approval.
